November 4, 2008 - Happy Birthday to the wonderful, beautiful and talented Ms. Scherrie Payne!

October 4, 2008 - From The Heart of Lynda Laurence.

Dearest Friends,

Once Again I am awed by your generosity and kindness.

There are so many wonderful kind and caring people in the Motown family, as well as outside of it.

I wish to Thank You all for your caring concern and giving spirit.

I also want to give a special THANKS! to my partner of twenty two and half years...Scherrie Payne.  Who has been a beckon of light and a pillar of strength for me during this most difficult time in my life.  She was one of the first there after the fire and she has never stopped trying her best to help and I mean helping in every way possible.  I will be forever grateful to her for her kind and loving spirit.  We are not only business partners but....true sisters! I love You Scherrie.

I would remiss if I didn't Thank our assistant and close friend Eric Iversen.  He has tirelessly been there for our group for years and he never, ever complains.  He too was there after the fire along with Scherrie, and he tried his best to save my gowns, and anything else he could.  He and his wonderful family have become an extended part of mine!  I will be forever grateful to you too Eric.  All My Love!

To all of the others I say THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!  As I continue in the healing process, I am humbled by your benevolent gifts and words of encouragement.

Again...I say "Thank You!"
Love,
Lynda Laurence

September 20, 2008 - From the Heart of Lynda Laurence.

Hello My Dear Friends and Family,

I wish to thank each and every one who shared their heartfelt feelings, with me during this very difficult time.

I know that all of you gave from your hearts. I have received a veritable shower; yes a downpour of sympathy, love, encouragement, and so many Prayers. All of which, made this daunting trial a little easier to bear.

It is most certainly not over, in fact, I have just begun the long road back to recovery. But I am strengthened by Jehovah God’s Holy Spirit and your many kind words, thoughts and deeds. Please know that I will be forever grateful for the “Love” you have shown me.

As the healing process begins, I know that you have played and integral part of it and for this…

I TRULY THANK YOU ALL

With Sincerity & Love,

Lynda Laurence

July 1, 2008 From the Heart of Scherrie Payne
One of the world's greatest gospel voices has been silenced.  But, Mr. Tucker's voice will forever remain in our hearts.  You can physically take away the music but you can't take away the song.   His message and passion for God's music will be etched in our memories and throughout eternity.  He was a great singer, performer, husband and dad.  And, he had a great sense of humor.  I always loved hearing stories about him from his daughters, Lynda and Sundray.  And, they  loved telling them.  They were so proud of their father.  He was a wonderful man who deeply loved God, first, and then, his family.  His legacy will live on and on.  He was loved, admired and respected by so many around the world.  There shall never be another like him.  He was one of a kind; unique and special. He and the beautiful Mrs. Tucker celebrated 63 years of marriage.  What a tremendous and sacred blessing!  May Jehovah God rest his soul until the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

 Love,
Scherrie Payne

Lynda's Boys, Trevor Lawrence Sr & Jr. February 5, 2008 Hi there everyone, I hope 2008 will prove to be a great year for all! Did you know I have a Grandson? Yes, I have a Grandson, his name is Trevor Ira Lawrence II, we call him T2 for short (as his Aunt Sundray nicknamed him) and, he plays the drums!

I always knew that my son, Trevor, Jr. was going to be a drummer, but he's more than a drummer, he's a really fine musician. He also plays keyboard, some bass and he is a very good writer and producer too. In fact he is producing the new CD for Scherrie & I. I knew when he was quite young that he would be a drummer, but he is a great drummer and his roster includes…. Mariah Carey, JLO & Marc Anthony, Snoop Dog, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and of course The FLOS! These are just a few of the artist that he has performed with.

I am very proud of his upcoming feature article in Modern Drummer Magazine. He along with my precious Grandson, T2, will grace the pages of that most prestigious magazine. Am I Proud or what? Especially of the baby, as he is not even 2 years old!!! He is playing with all his heart. He is a born drummer. I know that he too will perform with the best as well very soon it seems. It is not very often one can have a double blessing, with Son and Grandson, but since I do I wanted to share with you. Stay Healthy & Happy!

Love Always,
Lynda Laurence

 January 16, 2008-
From the desk of Lynda Laurence:

Hello Everyone, Well...here we are in a new year! Boy...2007 went so fast, at least it did for me, maybe that's because the FLOS worked non-stop last year! We hope to continue at that pace this year!!!

Thanks to you our Fans & Friends for your continued support and loyalty. It means so much to us.

Last year we traveled to some very great locations too: Malaysia, Monte Carlo and Japan were on the top of my list of special places to work.

We also had tragedy during the year, but nevertheless we rallied.  During one of those personal tragedies, we enlisted the assistance of the wonderful Joyce Vincent, formerly of Tony Orlando & Dawn to accompany us to Japan. When we called her, we had less than 24 hours to prepare. Joyce proved that her professionalism is still intact as she made the trip with us. I must say that filling in on such short notice was remarkable and I for one will always be grateful to her.  The shows in Japan went so well that we were called back again in the same year. We worked hard and enjoyed every minute of it! That was great!!! So Big Kudos to Joyce Vincent we truly appreciate it.

As Always, we look forward to a very good new year. It has already started off with a bang! Let me explain, while visiting my family, my cousin mentioned that Diana Ross was performing in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Right away she purchased 2 tickets, as she is a devout fan of Diana's. She invited me to accompany her to the show. So, out into the the rain I went to the Hotel Borgata, the newest hotel in Atlantic City which is simply gorgeous. The room where Diana performed was large yet very intimate. Of course, Miss Ross was in tip top shape, physically and vocally. She looked so spectacular in a white fully encrusted gown! She was breathtaking. As you can see I too am a fan of Miss Ross. As the show went on, and after her 4th costume change, I new the show was coming to an end. So I went to the front of the stage and said to the security guard, "My name is....." He stopped me and said, "I know who you are, come stand here." The "here" was right in front of the stage. I stood there dancing and clapping my hands. It was then that I heard my name being called by some very ardent fans. So I turned to speak with
them.

Diana looked down and said, "Go girl! Dance!" Then she stopped and looked and said, "Hey...you want to come and sing with us? Do you want to sing with us?" I said, "sure." After all I would not turn down a chance to sing with The Diva herself! So the security personnel took me to the stage and Diana graciously introduced me.  She said, "Ladies and gentlemen, Former Lady of The Supremes, Ms. Lynda Laurence." Then giving me the microphone, she said, "You go girl," and so I did. I sang "I Will Survive." When I had sung about 16 bars (this is appropriate) I gave the mic back to her. She said goodnight to the audience then gave the mic back to me and left the stage! So I closed the show singing with the band and her backing singers! It was spectacular!!!

Because of the tour in 2000, I remembered the arrangement so it was really fun. I took a bow and left the stage.

Before I knew it, the loyal fans converged on me and I signed autographs and took pictures for about 30 minutes. Even afterward in the restaurant I received applause as I walked in. It was a "Supreme" night!

So if this is the start of the new year and what it can bring, let's hope it goes on and on this way!

This year, 2008 marks the 22nd year for the The FLOS as a group. We plan to make it more exciting than ever too!

Stay Tuned and "Keep The Music Playing."

Love Always
Lynda Laurence

We believe these ladies will cast the same magic that had Motown and the world spellbound!" says Nancy Yeoh, Stylo KL Fashion Festival president.  The Fashion Festival will be held in March 2008 at The Pavilion in the week leading to Formula One. This show by The Former Supremes in November is for one night only.  Laurence and Payne will be dressed by British India, made up by Giorgio Armani Beauty and coifed by L'Oreal Professional.  "The evening will also feature a unique fashion presentation by leading Malaysian designers and international labels to interpret their versions of The Dreamgirls to the accompaniment of amazing Motown classics – a unique evening of nostalgia where fashion rocks!" As you know, Joyce sang back-up for the Ladies during their 20th Anniversary Show and a few other gigs as well.  Joyce had very little time to rehearse - but, being a pro, she stepped right in and did a wonderful job as Lynda & Scherrie reported. The audiences were very enthusiastic. Lynda supplied the following photos for all to enjoy!  A big THANK YOU to Joyce Vincent  for filling in for our fabulous Freddi. Freddi has since rejoined Scherrie & Lynda!

From the heart of Scherrie Payne
May 21, 2006- I believe in the power of prayer. I have been praying for Mary as I truly love her. I am in the deepest of prayer for her, and I know she is in God's loving hands and will get through this.  I remember a few years ago when I had a medical scare that required surgery. Out of concern for me, Mary called and wished me well. Thanks to God and his miracle working powers the scare disappeared.  Throughout the years I have admired Mary for her tenacity, her devotion to The Supremes and her career. She is a fantastic performer and I know she will be back on that stage soon. I look forward to it too!  Won't you please keep Mary in your prayers as I am keeping her in mine.
With deep love,

 Scherrie Payne

We truly wish her well.

August 8, 2005
Hello everyone.
I had a truly wonderful day this past Tuesday when I was blessed with the company of three of my dearest friends, Scherrie, Lynda and Freddi.
The  Ladies visited me at my home in East Sussex, England during their current UK tour.  It was a beautiful sunny day and the ladies looked as beautiful
as ever.  We had drinks and took many photos on the cliff top. My home faces the ocean and was a perfect setting. We all went to dinner later and ate at a 300
year old English pub. We then proceeded onto the venue at Camber Sands and watched the show together with my good friend, Jonathan Lovett.  The Ladies
were pure magic as usual. They performed to a huge crowd including many teenagers who got straight up on the floor and danced to the 60's and 70's Supremes' hits!  After the show we sipped champagne with the ladies and reminisced on a truly wonderful day. One that I will treasure for ever.
Sincerely,
Jim Saphin. (UK)

July 1, 2005 -A letter from Lynda Laurence.

Dear Fans & Friends,

As I sit here today I am extremely saddened by the passing of Luther Vandross and Obie of The Four Tops.  Although they both were seriously ill, it is still a hard blow when you loose two of the world's celebrated talents on the same day. July 1, 2005 will not soon be forgotten. I was shopping when I received a phone call from my son Trevor, who is in Philly to play with Stevie Wonder on the Live 8 Concert on Saturday July 2nd. His voice is already low but when I heard him speak he said " Mother everything changes, Luther died today." At that moment I became weak, for you see, it was Wednesday of this week that Eric Iversen gave Scherrie and me a beautiful photo of who? Luther and the two of us! This photo was taken on the night he came to see us at Madison Square Garden and the smile on our faces was because he had just told me "Miss Lynda you sang that song "Up The Ladder To The Roof." Can you imagine how I felt, that Luther Vandross himself said that to me? My smile on the photo says it all! Luther was and still is one of the greatest singers, yes..a smooth crooner of our time! To say that he will be missed is an understatement. For many years to come as the new generations come and go his name will be indelibly imprinted at the top of the list that reads..."GREATEST SINGERS OF ALL TIME."

Later that same day I received another call, again from my son Trevor, again hesitant to tell me the sad news... but knowing he had to he said "Mother, I hate to be the bearer of more sad news...but..." Then I stopped him and said "Obie?"..he said "Yeah" So I just sat back on the sofa and became very pensive and tried to remember Obie. Obie was the Top that always had a smile on his face when he worked. He LOVED what he did. It showed every time he performed! He had a certain charismatic movement that captured your attention and although not the lead singer of the group he was the energy in the back up that kept the Four Tops "The Four Tops." Another one of the Four Tops is gone now but never forgotten. His mark is S
