August
28, 2011- From the heart of Scherrie Payne & Lynda Laurence:
It was such an honor to perform on the same stage with
Ashford and Simpson at the Sunset Junction several years ago. I'll always
remember that night. It was special for me. I always loved and admired them
over the years, not only for their tremendous talent, but for their
endearing and loving relationship. Now, Nick has gone on to Glory. But,
greatness never dies. His music and lyrics will last a lifetime and beyond.
I pray for his wife, Valerie, and their two daughters, and ask that God will
give them strength and comfort during this tremendous time of pain and loss.
Scherrie Payne -
Before I joined the Motown Family, Before I recorded "Signed Sealed Delivered", there was Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson. What a power house of a duo!
Their musical talents and creative work speaks volumes about their musical abilities. They are timeless and have carefully carved out a stable position in the world of music.
There is no wonder that I gasped, when I heard that Nick Ashford died. I was not aware that he had been sick. Nevertheless, he was such a classy individual most likely he didn't want to be remembered for being ill, but for the tremendous contribution his talents afforded him in the music business. He and Valerie were entrepreneurs as well. I had the pleasure of dining at their restaurant "Sugar Shack" in NYC. It too was indicative of Nick and Valerie.. Classy, and the food...was simply delicious!
The music industry has no doubt, lost a "force to be reckoned with" from the business. I had the pleasure of working with Nick and Valerie and they were kind and very down to earth. They seem to understand this is a business... not their lives. So I for one am grateful that I have had the chance to know another one of the "Greats" in this every changing music business.
He is already missed...
With Heartfelt Sympathy

February 15, 2011 - From the desk of Ms. Scherrie Payne:
Hi, Everyone,
Just an update on the "Final Sessions" CD: I, along with Eric Iversen,
went to the Art Direction studio last week. Susaye, the week before. I had
a fantastic time. I was blown away by photos I had never seen before. I
kept saying, over and over, "Wow"! It brought back warm memories of the
greatest moments of my life! My Supremes' years!! Sometimes I forget that
I was part of a group that was internationally-acclaimed all over the
world. As you already know, only 9 ladies can make that claim: Diana, Mary,
Florence, Barbara, Cindy, Jean, Lynda, Susaye, and, me... Again, Wow!! My
Supremes' sisters!
Only 5,000 CDs will be printed and sold. The cover is absolutely
stunning! And, as always, in Supremes' style, classy all the way! The
song-selection is wonderful, and, with unheard renditions. There
are several surprises. I'm so excited! I have to give my special
thanks and love to those, who, I personally know, worked so hard to make
this come to fruition: Harry Weinger, Andy Skurrow, George Solomon, Greg
Ross, and to all of the wonderful fans who donated photos from their
private collections. Invaluable!
Lastly, to Mary Wilson, who gave me that tremendous opportunity to become
a member of this legendary, iconic group more than 37 years ago. I will
forever be grateful to her. Long after I'm gone, my daughter, Shoshana, and
grandson, Shaun, will be able to reflect back on that magical era of Motown
and be proud. Their mother/grandmother was there. Yes! I was
there!... Nothing or no one can ever negate nor take that away from me...
The Supremes' music will forever play on...
I'm humbled... I'm grateful... I've been blessed.

It was a blast to see Diana on June the 9th here at the Nokia Theater. Eric, Scherrie and I sat together. The show was FAB as usual. I want thank her for incorporating Scherrie and me on the video opening of the "Reflections" part of the show. She did lots of Supremes' hits on this show too. And, she looked fantastic, sounded great and wore the most fabulous gowns! She is the consummate performer and she gets better with age. She is truly in a class by herself! Kudos Diana!
Scherrie and I are looking forward to finishing our new CD this year. We have been waiting on our Producer, Trevor Lawrence, Jr., to finish building his new studio. The studio is now complete. I had a meeting with him last week and we are looking forward to going forward with this project and finish it. So far we have done what I think is a smash dance recording. Hopefully you will think so as well. So onward and forward.
We are also looking forward to performing at the Harrah's Casino in Hammond, Indiana. We are always happy to work in the USA. In the future, we hope to perform much more here at home. So all those in the Chicago area...come on down to Harrah's we would love to see you.

From The Desk of Scherrie Payne. "An Evening with Cindy Birdsong &
Friends!"
It was so good to see and get together with Cindy! We had been speaking by phone and planning for months to get together, but, it never seemed to happen. She looked great and that same bubbly personality was still sparkling. I'm ecstatic over the fact that she is now going to embark upon writing her life story. Yea!!! Go Cindy, my sister! Also, being with my dear and lifelong friends, George Solomon and, Randy Taraborrelli, who I affectionately call, "My little Randy," was a treat. And, you know anytime I get together with Lynda and Eric Iversen, there's going to be a lot of laughing. And, I mean, a lot!! We all had so much fun that night. The food was excellent and the atmosphere, warm and endearing! It was a Supreme time! - Scherrie Payne

To say that I am saddened by the death of Ali Woodson is a
huge understatement! I am truly hurt over losing one of the music industry's
premier voices.
Not only was Ali a singer's singer, he was also a very talented
musician, playing keyboards and drums.
Another great talent gone much too soon. My sincere condolences to his wife
and family. He will always be remembered as a "Really great guy" as well as
a super

February 9, 2010 - From The Desk of Lynda Laurence.
Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all healthy and happy.
First, let me say a huge "THANK YOU" to all my friends, fans and family who
showed my family and me such kindness and concern regarding the recent
passing
of my cherished Mother Louise Tucker. It truly meant a lot to see the out
pouring of love that you shared with me at this most difficult time. I
appreciate you all.
On Thursday night Feb 4th, I had the joy of sharing the stage with so many
friends and colleagues that I had not seen in quite a while. It was for the
rebuilding of Haiti, and that is a very tall order. Nonetheless, these
wonderful entertainers gave their time and lent their talent for this very
special event.
It was so good to see the incredible Susaye Greene, who is sounding great!!
And the fact that Deniece Williams sang acapella blew me away! Of course all
in
attendance brought their A game. One person I was very happy to see was
Frenchie Davis (American Idol,) who did a mind blowing version of "I am
Changing." Of course Howard Hewitt, Freda Payne, Brenda Russell and all of
the other performers were spot on as well. It was a well oiled machine for a
noble purpose and I had a great time. It was especially fun for Deniece,
Susaye and me after all the three of us were all..."Stevie's Girls"! It was
a great night!
Best Regards,
Lynda Laurence, Formerly of The Supremes
February 7, 2010 - From The Desk of Scherrie Payne.
This event was especially endearing to me because of my connection with my future son-in-law, Charles Eugene Radlein, and the former First Lady of Haiti, Geri Preval Benoit.
Even before the earthquake, their descriptions of their
homeland were so profound, touching, heart-wrenching and heart-warming.
Their roots grow deep. February 4th, was truly a remarkable affair. Love
was surely in the air. A coming-together of such wonderful talent
that was given freely and received
with open arms. Everyone was on one accord; the continued relief for
Haiti.
The cuisine, prepared by Spicy Charlie (my son-in-law), was delectable. The
atmosphere was festive, yet, purposed. We all had a fantastic time and
audience and the performers were fantastic too! I felt so proud to be a
participant; to help make a difference. I was so proud of my church choir,
First Baptist Church of
North Hollywood, and, even more proud of my beautiful daughter,
Shoshana Payne Phillips, who sang and co-wrote the song dedicated to the
Haitian relief. The entire
program was outstanding. I'm still getting rave compliments from friends
who attended.
And, it's wonderful to know that all of the proceeds will be donated to the
cause. Like minds making a difference.

Hi, to All!
I'd like to welcome with open arms our newest member, my
dear and longtime friend, Joyce Vincent, Formerly of Tony Orlando and Dawn.
Joyce and I have been friends since 1968, having met in Detroit when we were
both with Invictus Records. Wow! Has it been that long? I can't believe it
myself. How time flies when you're having fun! And now, we've both come
full-circle. I know she's going to be dynamic; she has so much vocal talent,
poise and professionalism to bring to the stage. And, she's beautiful on the
inside as well as the outside. After having such an illustrious career with
Dawn, Joyce still remains humble and gracious. She, along with her sister,
Pam, have always been more like family to me, cousins, really In fact, many
people have said that Joyce and I favor each other. How flattering! I'm
proud to have her sing alongside of us.
For 13 fun-filled years, Freddi Poole shared the spotlight with Lynda and
me. Freddie's a dynamic performer who always gave more than 100% on the
stage. No one can do "Respect" or "I Will Survive" like Freddi. Every time
she would perform those songs, I enjoyed them so much, I felt like I had
bought a ticket (smile). She's a true entertainer. We had many deep and
wonderful conversations and more often than not, did a lot of laughing. I
know Freddi has so many wonderful projects and ventures on her plate now and
I wish the very best of God's blessings upon her as she embarks on a new
course. You're going to be hearing a lot more from her even beyond the
entertainment side of things. She's progressive, innovative and, a
humanitarian. I know good things are coming her way. She's always put her
trust and faith in God and, with His help, she's going to sail on to greater
heights. Way to go, Freddi! I love you, dearly, and my prayers will always
be with you.

August 31, 2009 - From the desk of Lynda Laurence.
Hello All,
I hope this finds you all healthy and happy.
I write this to update you on all the latest news of our group.
Scherrie and I are so happy to say that we have forged this musical journey
for the past 23 1/2 years now and we are looking forward to the 24th year!!!
In the next few months we are going to exciting places like Monte Carlo.
When I was young I saw a movie that took place there and I knew then that I
would love
to perform there some day. With our upcoming trip, this will be our 4th time
performing in Monte Carlo! I loved it at first and I really love it now!
It's just a fabulous place to perform. The fact that the people love us
there is so rewarding. After all these years we are so happy to be received
with such enthusiasm! Monte Carlo is truly FAB!!!
But wait there's more... we are also on our way to Italy, Dubai and
Australia and one of my other favorite places...the UK! We love the UK. It's
like home away from home for us. Don't get me wrong, we LOVE Italy too,
where we do awesome TV shows and performances and we cannot forget Japan
another one of our
favorite places to perform. In the UK, we have wonderful friends like
Sharon Davis, Steve Weaver and many others, who have always been our friends
that we look forward to seeing during this trip.
We have just released a "new" single entitled "Good Intentions," available
via download on iTunes. We need to know what you think. So please post your
comments and thoughts via the iTunes Page when you purchase the single. We
are currently recording songs to complete the forthcoming CD.
With all the upcoming projects mentioned above, if you don't hear from us
often it's because we are out there performing and recording. Why? because
we Love
you all.
We especially want to say a BIG HELLO to all our Southern California fans
and friends. In December, we will be performing with Dennis Edwards'
Temptations
Revue at the Spotlight 29 Casino in
Coachella Valley, CA, near Palm Springs. We look forward to seeing you
there!
Stay Healthy! Stay Happy!

August
12, 20009- Hi
Everyone,
Well it's finally here; our new song entitled "Good Intentions."
I am really proud of the efforts that went into this song. As you may or may
not know my son Trevor Lawrence, Jr.
www.drumpimp.com
produced us on this song. But here is a tidbit you don't know...his most
talented wife, singer song-writer pianist Alicia Lawrence, wrote it. It
seems I am surrounded by talented writers and producers. And, lest we
forget, our Creative Consultants on this project David Kramlick and Eric
Iversen.
Good Intentions is the first of more to come. All of you know my sister
Sundray Tucker, she too is a very talented singer, song-writer. We are going
to
showcase her talents on the CD as well. We, that is Scherrie and I, want to
get in on the action and show what we can do vocally as well as pen to
paper.
Now...having said all of that, what do we want you to do? We want you to go
to iTunes and take a listen. If you like it you know what to do. We really
need positive feed back so feel free to express your feelings about this
song. That really helps us. I gave a sneak peek, as it were, to those of you
who joined me in Dallas Texas, earlier this year. You know who you are. I
really like the
response you guys gave us.
So, lets see if we can make this a success. After all it is a very true
expression, because people don't always have "GOOD INTENTIONS."
